Production Lead (Paint Shop)

As the Production Lead for the Paint Shop at Dat Bike, you will oversee the end-to-end painting process for plastic parts, ensuring high standards in PQCDSM (Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, Morale). This role requires a strong focus on quality assurance, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and safety compliance. You will also manage workflows, monitor supplier performance, and continuously improve operational efficiency.

1. Plan and manage paint shop schedules to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.

2. Ensure strict adherence to PQCDSM metrics across all painting operations.

3. Monitor and manage the in-house painting process to achieve consistent quality and timely output.

4. Coordinate with external suppliers to ensure timely and quality-compliant outsourced painting.

5. Lead the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices to minimize equipment downtime.

6. Maintain production efficiency by promptly identifying and resolving issues in the paint shop.

7. Train and mentor paint shop team members to improve skills, safety awareness, and operational discipline.

8. Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a culture of safety within the team.

9. Enforce strict quality control processes to meet and exceed part specifications and reduce rework rates.

10. Manage paint material inventory and ensure timely procurement to avoid production delays.

11. Monitor supplier performance, address quality concerns, and maintain strong vendor relationships.

12. Implement lean manufacturing practices to optimize workflows and minimize waste in painting operations.

13. Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for management review.

14. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production quality, efficiency, and safety.

15. Collaborate with the Quality Control team to address and prevent quality-related issues proactively.

16. Promote a collaborative, safety-focused team culture.

• Bachelor’s degree in Production, Automobile, Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or related field.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production leadership role, preferably in a paint shop or manufacturing environment.

• Strong understanding of PQCDSM and its application in production settings.

• Proven track record in maintaining safety standards and fostering a culture of safety.

• Knowledge of painting processes and quality assurance methodologies.

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Experience in SAP or similar ERP systems for production planning and reporting is a plus.

• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and 5S practices.

• Proficiency in English communication is a plus.
